A beautiful place in the mountains with stunning views from the verandah. Good to stay when seeing the tea plantation. The host is very attentive and the food and service excellent.

This guest house is absolutely amazing. From the stunning view to the pampering service. It's a spacious 5-bedroom house sitting on a hillside, very nicely decorated and has a cosy living room for the windy and rainy nights which are common in the area. We were served breakfast (english + sri lankan fruit and curd/treacle) by the kind staff on the terrace, which was perfect both cos of the delicious food itself and also the view of the valley (which u can also see from your bed in some rooms!).

We had the most wonderful experience at Rangala House. We were completely lost, caught up in a bit of a mess with a tour we had booked in Kandy. We called Rangala house, having found their number in our guide book, a Hail Mary pass. We weren’t even a guest and the supervisor spent so much time on the phone with us, our driver and guides trying to help us find our way. Eventually we ended up by coming to the hotel to see an absolute paradise with gorgeous views over hill country. Surrounded on all sides by tea plantations. Such a special place that was both relaxing and remote. The staff provided us alternatives to salvage our day, cold drinks and even watched our luggage. They truely saved the day and offered us a window into Sri Lankan hospitality. I wish I knew the name of the fellow who was so kind to us on the phone, but on another trip to Sri Lanka we would go out of our way to spend time at Rangala house. Couldn’t recommend more.

Absolutely fantastic place. The location is stunning, with a wonderful view on the neighboring mountains. The staff, especially Sam and Anthony who run the place, is extremely helpful, mindful, friendly and interesting. They'll explain the entire history of the region and their place. The food is delicious, home-made, with tasty fruits and vegetables. The rooms cosy and very enjoyable, with all the necessary amenities and a lot of class in the decoration. You'll feel at home here the minute you sit down for the welcoming cup of tea, as it is truly a small piece of paradise.
